ABOUT LETTERPRESS
Letterpress is the process of printing with movable type which is inked and then pressed into paper, leaving an inked impression. Movable type was first introduced in the 1400s, and for a long time was the primary method of printing. Originally, each metal letter was painstakingly set by hand before being printed. These days, we are able to design on the computer and create plates - saving a lot of time, and allowing a lot more design freedom.
The combination of soft papers, vibrant inks, antique printing presses and manual labour produces prints that are artworks in themselves. It’s different to any other type of printing - run your fingers over the ink and you can FEEL it. It’s truly something special.
We can also match ink colours to bridesmaid's dress fabric or flowers.
The list of things you can print is limited only by your imagination.
